A Method to Soothe Oneself Into a Better Feeling Place

When we understand that our universe is orchestrated by the Law of Attraction and that our purpose in life is to experience joy and love and to have a magnificent life,  then we will want to know different ways to keep ourselves happy most of the time.  I say most of the time because we all experience contrast at various times and this contrast is helpful in helping us know what we really want. For example, if someone is rude to me, I feel that and launch a desire to have kinder people in my life.

When you move into a better feeling place you raise your vibration and thus the Law of Attraction will bring you more experiences like these. Remember you always get the emotional equivalent of what you are feeling from the universe, if you are feeling good, you get more good feeling experiences and things and likewise, if you are feeling bad, you receive more experience that feel bad.

To help yourself move into a better feeling place when you are down or discouraged, here is an exercise that has been most helpful to me over the years.

STEP ONE:  Write down the incident that is troubling you. For example: When you broke my favorite dish…

STEP TWO:  State how you FELT. For example: I felt angry.

STEP THREE:  You then begin to write down (without editing yourself), answers to this question:

WHAT THIS HAS CAUSED ME TO REALIZE IS

For example:
I am more attached to my dishes than I realized
I get upset quickly when people do not take good care of my things
I hate it when things I love get broken
I have some very nice things
I enjoy being around beautiful things
I love knowing that there are so many beautiful things in the world
I am committed to surrounding myself with beauty.
Even though my favorite dish broke, I know I can replace it.
I will get over this loss soon.
I understand these things happen
I am feeling better about this already
I actually am excited about buying a new dish now
I can hardly wait to start looking.

So you can see here, that in a very short span of time I have moved from anger into a feeling of excitement and anticipation of my next shopping trip where I can begin to look for my new dish.

If you do this exercise anytime you are feeling low about something, you can move into a good feeling place quickly and easily, thus the Law of Attraction will bring you more higher feeling things.

Remember that the most important thing that we need to do each day is to get ourselves into a good feeling place. 

NOTE:  If you find you are continually in a low feeling place, this almost always means that ‘stuff’ from your past is affecting your present situation to compound the negative feelings.  You can call me and I can help you release what is holding you back,  helping you move into feeling better through work that I do called  Journey work.

Have FUN with this strategy. It is exhilarating to have skills that can empower us to feel better. When you understand the Law of Attraction you can become the deliberate creator that you were born to be.
