I notice a lot of public speakers and teachers on the internet trying to convince people to “take action NOW.” And I know that these people are very well-meaning and are only saying what they think is needed, but this advice is very poor advice if people do not know about emotions, energy and the law of attraction. In fact this advice is counterproductive in many cases.
Let me explain. If one understands the law of attraction, then you know that our emotions are what attracts to us the results that we want. Our emotions are our vibrational essence. And so what we are feeling and thus thinking is what we are expanding in our lives.
Now to flush this out a bit more, let me speak from experience. A few years ago, I suffered from a severe depression. Before this depression, I was a pretty happy soul, trusting my inner guidance and flowing with life as things came along. I did not know about the law of attraction but I was attracting positively for the most part. And this was because I was in a good feeling place. And so whatever we are feeling, we receive the emotional equivalent of.
Well after the death of my husband, a depression set in that seemed to take over my life. It seemed like I had no control of it. And as I mentioned I did not know about law of attraction. What I noticed is that when I took action from this low feeling place it never produced the results that I had been used to. I would make a decision from this depression and it was always a poor decision. Because this depression went on for a few years, my confidence level began to plummet like never before.
I had been used to receiving good results from decisions before my depression but when I was taking action from my depression, it was always a poor decision.
Well I am well over this depression now, and became so curious as to why this was so. Why was I not able to see the best decision when I was depressed. And why was it not a good idea to take action when I was in this emotional state.
Well I now completely understand why now. Positive emotion feels good because it means we are on track with our own well-being. Negative emotion always tells us that we are not on track and that it is important to feel better before taking any kind of action.
You see, when we are feeling good, we get inspired, the ideas flow, we are on a roll so to speak. But when we are feeling bad, we cannot hear the voice of our source, that voice of infinite intelligence. We are too far out of reach.
Through the teachings of Jerry and Esther Hicks about the law of attraction, I have come to understand about the importance of our emotions and our emotional guidance system. In other words I have become conscious. Before this time, I was creating my reality from an unconcious state. Now that I am aware of what my emotions are telling me, I can quickly move myself into a postive emotional state, thus knowing that whatever inspirations comes forth will lead me to the happy results I seek.
What I notice among business leaders and motivational speakers especially is that they tend to talk a lot about the reason that people are not more successful or making more money is because they are not taking action or because they have the wrong mindset.
Now the mindset part is partially helpful but the taking action without teaching about our emotions and lining up our energy before taking action is not helpful. In fact people can end up feeling more discouraged if they do not know that taking actions from negative feelings places like doubt, frustration, despair, hopelessness or disappointment is counter productive. It will never yield the results that are wanted.
It is crucial as teachers to teach about energy and emotion because everything and every result is about energy and emotion. It is the key component and it is not talked about by many teachers.
I encourage you to read more on my blog about energy and alignment if you are a teacher of any kind. And I also encourage you to read the works of Jerry and Esther Hicks on the law of attraction. It is knowledge that is a must for any person who wants success for themselves or for their students.
